Georgia native Michael Zaib is an American singer-songwriter blending country, folk and soul into a new sound that grips, evoking the smoothness of Chris Stapleton and the soul of Otis Redding. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana and raised just north of Atlanta, Georgia, Michael has been quietly roaring for years off America's "Main Streets and Byways," the name of his highly-anticipated 2019 studio album.
With his most recent single "Broken Hearts" charting Top 100 on Nashville's Music Row, Michael is a former contestant on NBC's The Voice who has recorded with Billy Joel's saxophonist Richie Cannata, John Driskell Hopkins of the Zac Brown Band, and Jason Andres of Spotlight Sound Studio.
A tale of love, family, and the roads of music, his 2019 record is a five-song collection packing stories, hard truths, and powerful vocals into an intimate listening experience, an invitation of sorts to join a singer-songwriter in the passenger seat of an empty car where for a while he's been "Traveling Alone," the Jason Isbell song he covers on his album alongside four of his latest country originals.
Michael tours regularly across the Untied States and Australia performing over one-hundred fifty shows a year in Atlanta, Austin, Baton Rouge, Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, Canberra, Shreveport, Sydney and Texarkana. He released in 2018 "Michael Zaib"-his newly repackaged album combining his 2017 "31" with his debut EP featuring hit singles "The Wind" and "MaMa Said." If you ask his loyal fans to describe his music, they often will tell you that his smooth soulful voice is matched only by his honest lyrics.
