Run with a Longhorn 5K

Join us on Saturday, April 27, 2024 for our Fifth Annual “Run with a Longhorn 5K” race to raise money for the Kell Band Program.  The cost of running and maintaining an award winning band program is high and the school system covers very little.  Band families cover 90% of this cost through dues and fundraisers, while the county contributes less than 10% of our total budget.  The Kell Band Program would like to offset the cost of these expenses to individual students by offering you the opportunity to support an organization that has and will continue to offer an environment of academic integrity, leadership training, community service, and profound musical excellence.

6:00 AM – Kell HS Parking Lot Opens

6:30 AM – Packet Pickup/On-site Registration Opens

7:00 AM - Vendors Setup

8:00 AM – Run with a Longhorn 5K Race Starts

8:45 to 9:00 AM – Run with a Longhorn 5K Award Ceremony

10:00 AM – Course Closes

12:00 PM - Vendors Start Teardown Process

1:00 PM - Parking Lot Closes for Event
