WEST AFRICAN DANCE CLASS | LIVE DRUMMING!
This is a great calorie burning class that's high energy and lots of fun! Come explore traditional dances from West Africa, accompanied by live drumming!
SCHEDULE: Thursdays at 6:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
WHAT TO WEAR: Ladies and Girls can wear any comfortable clothes that's stretchy. Lapas (African wrap-skirt) or Sarong OPTIONAL. If you choose to wear a lapas or other type wrap-skirt, you must wear bike shorts or stretchy crop pants underneath. You can buy your own choice of African style fabric from a fabric store to create a NO-SEW wrap-skirt. Depending on your waist and hips measurements you may need two yards or more of fabric. You can ask to be measured at the fabric store. See video on how to wrap and tie your skirt. The top worn in dance class can be a T-shirt or leotard. Shoes are not worn in West African Dance Class.
Men and Boys will wear loose fitting pants and a T-shirt.
AGES: Mixed ages from Youth to Adults.
LEVELS: Beginner to Intermediate.
TUITION: $60.00 per month.
REGISTRATION FEE: A one time annual Registration Fee of $25.00 is charged to new student. Family Discount: $35.00 for Family Members living in the same household.
