The Butts County Probate Court is seeking a full-time Deputy Clerk.
The Deputy Clerk position requires an administrative professional who works independently using sound judgement and discretion in the day to day performance of related job duties. Frequent interruptions contribute to the complexity of the position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Process customer requests in person and over the phone.
Enter and maintain marriage and weapons carry license applications.
Process and maintain vital records.
Enter and verify traffic citations in the data base.
Receive and process citation payments.
Maintain and scan court records.
Assist in court proceedings.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED. Related court experience and knowledge of laws and procedures related to Probate Court preferred.
Starting annual salary is $31, 370.
