Administrative Assistant-Butts County Board of Commissioners
The Butts County Board of Commissioners is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Assistant to work with and support the Administration Department.
We are looking for a dependable, energetic person with well-developed customer service skills, who works with a minimum of supervision and exercises excellent independent judgment; speaks effectively and is attentive to detail.
Duties include but are not limited to: working as part of the Administrative team and providing support to other team members; answering the phone, greeting visitors, and responding to inquiries and requests for information; collecting, sorting, and distributing mail; reserving, scheduling, and coordinating events; preparing and processing correspondence.
Minimum Training and Experience: High school diploma or GED; familiar with technology.

Notice of Property Tax Increase & 5 Year History of Levy

In accordance with the law, Butts County is publishing the following “Notice of Property Tax Increase” shown below. This is required anytime any property owner’s taxes might increase. The Board of Commissioners has also published via the below “Five Year History” their intention to roll the County millage rate back again this year to 12.0290 mills, which represents a 0.93 mil decrease, putting the County millage rate at the lowest level in 30 years. Each individual parcel is unique and depending on assessments, may decrease, remain flat or increase in taxable value.
