School Zone Speed Enforcement Cameras Proving Effective
Just over two years ago, the City of Alpharetta began our School Speed Zone Camera Enforcement Program, an effort to improve safety for Alpharetta students by more consistently enforcing speed limits around our schools during the hours when students are present. If you compare the first three full months of the program to the most recent three months included in a recent analysis, the positive impact of the program becomes very apparent, with a reduction in speeding violations of 43%.

Wills Park Pool Opens Saturday
The end of the school year also signals the opening weekend for the Wills Park Pool Season! "First Plunge" is this Saturday at 10:00 AM, and the season runs through September 5. New this season, Mondays are for Alpharetta residents ONLY!

Enroll In Our Vacation Home Check Before Leaving Town
As you are planning your summer vacation checklist, here is something to add that will provide peace of mind while you are away from home. Take a moment to go online and enroll in our Vacation Watch Program, and Alpharetta police officers will periodically stop by your home while you are gone to check doors and windows and make sure nothing is happening that should not be. This service is offered to Alpharetta residents at no cost, and all you have to do is sign-up at least 7 days before your departure.
