Recycle Computers And Electronics October 1
North Fulton businesses and residents will be able to recycle computers and other electronic equipment on Saturday, October 1 from 8:30 AM until 12:00 PM.  Most items can be recycled at no cost, but there is a fee for some items.

Land Use Corner

A quick look at some of the land use requests currently going through the public hearing process.

MP-22-03 / Z-22-05 / CU-22-02 / V-22-07:  North Point Mall Redevelopment
Consideration of a master plan amendment, rezoning, conditional use and variances to allow for the demolition of approximately 464,000 square feet of the existing mall including 2 anchor boxes and redevelopment with 315,700 square feet of new retail, restaurants and creative office, 120,000 square feet of office, 150-room hotel, 900 ‘For-Rent’ units, 36 ‘For-Sale’ townhomes, and approximately 18 acres of open space on 83.67 acres. A master plan amendment is requested to the North Point Mall Master Plan to modify development regulations. A rezoning is requested from PSC (Planned Shopping Center) to MU (Mixed Use) and a conditional use is requested to allow Dwelling, ‘For-Rent’, Dwelling, ‘For-Sale’ Attached, and to increase the allowable density. Variances are requested to increase building height, encroach into the Georgia 400 buffer for the MARTA BRT and multi-use trail.

MP-21-10/Z-21-12/CU-21-14/V-21-29:  Continuum
Consideration of a master plan amendment, rezoning, conditional use and variances to allow for mixed-use development consisting of 1,545,899 SF office (517,399 SF is existing), 77,600 SF of retail/restaurant use, 82 ‘For-Sale’ townhome units, 488 ‘For-Rent’ units, 218-room hotel and parks and greenspace on 51.9 acres. A master plan amendment is requested to the Oxford Green Master Plan Phase 2 to add Dwelling, ‘For-Rent’, Residential, Dwelling, ‘For-Sale’ Attached and Hotel. A rezoning is requested from O-I (Office-Institutional) to MU (mixed Use) and a conditional use is requested to allow Dwelling, ‘For-Rent’ Residential, Dwelling, ‘For-Sale’ Attached, and Hotel. A variance is requested to reduce and internal landscape strip requirement.

CLUP-22-03 / Z-22-11 / V-22-20:  Mid Broadwell Residential
Consideration of a comprehensive land use plan amendment, rezoning and variances to allow for the construction of 21 ‘For-Sale’ single-family detached homes and 62 ‘For-Sale townhomes on 10.77 acres. A comprehensive land use plan amendment is requested from Commercial and Medium Density Residential to High Density Residential and a rezoning is requested from C-2 (General Commercial), O-I (Office-Institutional) and R-10M (Dwelling, ‘For-Rent’ or ‘For-Sale’, Residential) to R-8A/D (Dwelling, ‘For-Sale’, Attached/Detached, Residential). Variances are requested to reduce the minimum width of townhomes from 30’ to 24’ and reduce front setbacks along internal streets.
