City Of Avondale Estates News : City Welcomes New Capital Projects Director

Kristin Moretz, CESSWI, joined the City of Avondale Estates as the the new Capital Projects Construction and Maintenance Director April 13, 2022. She recently worked for the environmental compliance and consulting company Path Light Professionals where she oversaw client relationships, stormwater pollution prevention plans (SWPPP) implementation, safety and stormwater inspections, quality control and construction stormwater, and safety regulatory compliance in markets across five states. 

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Soil Science from the University of Tennessee with a focus on wetland delineation, youth outreach and competitive soil judging. She is a professional member of the Soil Science Society of America and has been an active member of its Women in Soil Chapter for the last four years.

In her role with the city, Moretz will manage capital projects including stormwater and streetscapes infrastructure and maintenance.

"We're so excited to have Kristen join the team. She brings an incredible skillset that will add so much value to the city," said Assistant City Manager Shannon Powell.
