City of Lilburn News : Alert Mayor Tim Dunn Thanks Community For SPLOST Support

From: City of Lilburn
November 10, 2022

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our citizens, who joined the majority of Gwinnett County voters, to renew the Special Local Option Sales Tax for another six years.

Your show of support ensured that our county government and the 16 participating cities can continue financing capital projects that improve our quality of life.

Lilburn’s portion is projected to be $20.8 million. Rest assured that your Mayor and City Council, with guidance from the City Staff, will utilize those funds with the community’s greater good in mind. This will dictate any and all decisions.

Moreover, we will remain true to our decades-old approach when it comes to city governance: Operate and manage city affairs in a prudent, financially conservative manner.

No overreach.

Please read a previous Facebook post for detailed information about our plans for the new SPLOST dollars.

In closing, I say once again, thank you for entrusting us by your vote of support for SPLOST.
