City of Lookout Mountain : It's your responsibility

From: City of Lookout Mountain
June 15, 2022

The temperature has pushed into the 90-degree range and yard work has become more challenging with the summer heat and humidity.

As a reminder, homeowners and renters need to remember you have responsibility for keeping the right of way clean, unobstructed, and free of any growth of weeds more than a height of six (6) inches. The right of way is any “property abutting or adjacent to a city street.”   If you cannot sleep at night check out Ordinance #106 on our website.

Do not stop the mower or weed eater until you or your landscape team take it all the way to the road.

This insures both the safety of travel through our community as well as the beauty of our city.
We will be sending out friendly reminders for those who find it hard to break old habits.
