Sometime between 10/28/2022 – 10/29/2022, a Major Spill occurred at the Indian Creek Water Reclamation Facility, 1680 Indian Creek Road Madison, Georgia. The spill was approximately 240,000 gallons. The spill resulted from a failed SCADA communication system which did not notify operators of the shutdown of the treatment facility. The untreated water spilled into Little Indian Creek. The facility computers were rebooted and returned to service.

There should be no adverse effects resulting from the spill.
