City Of Roswell News : Taking the Mystery out of the Recycling Center: Recycling Glass
From: City Of Roswell
August 9, 2022
Here's a Clue in 2022… Did you know the Recycling Center accepts glass? Glass is highly recyclable and can be recycled endlessly and retains its quality.
All glass bottles of various colors are also accepted in our curbside recycling bins, but the glass can become a contaminant. Glass breaks and contaminates most of the other recyclable items in your bin, such as paper, cardboard, plastic containers, and metal cans! When mixed with other recyclables, the broken glass makes the items less recyclable or the items may not be able to be recycled at all.
A solution to this contamination issue is to bring your recyclables to the City of Roswell Recycling Center either already sorted or you can sort on site.
Glass Recycling Benefits:
-Good for the Environment
-Sustainable
-Saves Energy
-Reduces Industrial Pollution
-Conserves Natural Resources
