From: City of Tallapoosa
October 22, 2022

Boil Water Advisory
Issued Thursday 10/20/2022 @ 2:30 pm, effective immediately.

Included in the advisory are:

Haralson County Water Authority’s affected customers cover the entire Largent Trail from Highway 100 to the dead-end.

The City of Tallapoosa’s affected customers are concentrated in the area of Highway 100 from Honda Parkway to Interstate 20.

The Haralson County Water Authority is in the process of repairing a leak in this area. We apologize for the inconvenience. A boil water advisory will be in effect once service has been restored. To protect the public from a potential health hazard, all customers that have experienced an outage should boil their water for at least one minute after it reaches a rolling boil for any water used for drinking, cooking, preparing baby food, or any other consumption. Please follow this procedure until the Authority notifies you that the advisory has been lifted. For any questions or concerns, please call 770.574.5491. Thank you.

UPDATE: The water will be tested again on Monday, October 24, 2022.  We will know at that time if the boil water advisory can be lifted.
