If you can help gather any of the following information for the City's use in monitoring the storm and incorporating the data into its models and planning, it would be of great help! Please DO NOT venture out in any dangerous conditions. Pictures, measurements, and perhaps marking high water levels for future reference would be helpful!
Residential ponding - record to some degree the extent of ponded water on their properties. This could be anywhere on the island, but we are especially interested in properties from 12th to 15th, West of Butler.
Where - the specific locations of ponding on a property. This could be through photos or simply noting which corner of their property where water is ponding.
How long - An estimate of how long water was ponded. We know it will be difficult to get super detailed times, so here are some thresholds that residents could use
-less than 6 hours
-6 hours -12 hours
-12 hours - 1 day
-1 day - 2 days
How deep - an estimate of the water depth and the time they are estimating at. Again, here are some thresholds that could be useful
-Ankle depth
-Knee depth
-Waist depth
-Over-the-head depth
Photos - any and all photos (ideally with a time stamp) are great. In these locations specifically:
-14th street
-12th street and potential retention pond
-Lewis Avenue
-Venetian
-7th Street
-6th street
-But anywhere you see it would be fine
Overtopped roads - do the following roads get overtopped, and if so, an estimate for when and how long?
