Glynn County News : Glynn County Hires Communications Director

Glynn County is pleased to announce the hiring of Ms. Katie Baasen as Communications Director.

Ms. Baasen’s first day with Glynn County will be Monday, May 9, 2022. She comes to us from Birmingham Water Works in Birmingham, Alabama where she most recently served as a public relations specialist and was actively involved in building local community non-profit partnerships. Her experience includes over seventeen years of public sector and non-profit communication and marketing experience.

Ms. Baasen began her career on Jekyll Island and is looking forward to the opportunity to reconnect with the community and continue to serve the public through effective communications and an increased social media presence.

Ms. Baasen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Alabama with a major in Public Relations and a minor in English.
