Open Book Club

The adult Open Book Club will meet at the Oglethorpe County Library on Tuesday, January 31 at 1:00pm. This month's book will be The Woman in the Library by Sulari Gentill.
Tax Help at the Athens-Clarke County Library
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide offers free tax preparation assistance beginning Feb.1 at the Athens-Clarke County Library on Baxter Street.. No appointment needed! Assistance is available:
- Tuesdays – 12pm-4pm
- Wednesdays – 9am-2pm
- Fridays – 9am-2pm
- Saturdays – 9am-2pm
Due to previously scheduled events, tax assistance will be relocated to the 2nd floor on certain days.

Harry Potter Book Night
Thursday, February 2 at 4:00 p.m.
Immerse yourself in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter with tasty treats, house sorting, Quidditch games, trivia and more. This event will be fun for all ages so throw on your robes and grab your brooms or just Floo in for a fantastic time!
Teen Anti-Valentine's Day Bash
Monday, February 13 at 5:00 p.m.
Sometimes love stinks! Join us here at the Oglethorpe County Library for a romance free, sarcastic event for anyone who cringes at the idea of sappy love songs. Enjoy some snacks and get the chance to break a heart with our Anti-Valentine's Day piñata! Grades 6th and up welcome.
Kids
Story Time
Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m.
Children will enjoy stories, rhymes, songs, and movement to help support early literacy. A take-home craft kit will be provided. We encourage all toddlers and preschool-aged children to attend.
Family Movie Night
Tuesday, February 21 at 5:30 p.m.
Bring the whole family to the library as we watch the movie Minions: The Rise of Gru (2022). This program is great for all ages (by which we mean, the whole family!)!
