Blue book covers to help you fill that square.

Eragon, by Christopher Paolini

-Book with a blue cover, Turned into a Movie, Part of a series + A bildungsroman

First book in the Inheritance Cycle by Paolini. Born in 1983, he wrote the novel while still in his teens. After writing the first draft for a year, Paolini spent a second year rewriting and fleshing out the story and characters. His parents saw the final manuscript and in 2001 decided to self-publish Eragon; Paolini spent a year traveling around the United States promoting the novel. By chance, the book was discovered by Carl Hiaasen, who got it re-published by Alfred A. Knopf. The re-published version was released on August 26, 2003

The book tells the story of a farm boy named Eragon, who finds a mysterious polished blue stone in the forest. He thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. Not knowing the stone's origin or worth, he attempts to use it as payment to a butcher. A dragon he later names Saphira hatches from the stone, which was really an egg. When the evil King Galbatorix finds out the general location of the egg he sends the Ra'zac to acquire it. By that time Saphira had been growing for a while and takes Eragon to the Spine after Ra'zac appear in their village Carvahall. Eragon and Saphira are forced to flee from their hometown, with a storyteller called Brom, and decide to search for the Varden, a group of rebels who want the downfall of Galbatorix. ...

The Kites, by Romain Gary

-Book with a blue cover + A bildungsroman

"The Kites" is set in Normandy just prior to and during the second world war. The protagonist, Ludo, is the young nephew of the local postman and part time kite maker, Ambrose Fleury . While the kites may appear to be dragon flies, or castles in the air, there is always a little political sass involved if one were to look with a critical eye. While young Ludo learns the art of kite making, he meets and falls in love with Lila, the daughter of a Polish aristocratic business tycoon. As it turns out, Ludo is far from alone in his quest for the favors of Lila.
Alongside Ludo's uncle is his near neighbor and (seeming) counterweight Marcellin Duprat, who runs the famed Clos Joli, a three-star restaurant. Many more semi-fantastical creatures fill the action, including Julie Espinoza, a madam whose bordello in Paris is a headquarters of the Resistance.
Beginning with rescuing downed aviators and then escorting them safely to Spain, all players became involved in various ways with the French Resistance.

The Crying Book, by Heather Christle

-Book with a blue cover, Poetry + About mental health/illness
When, where, why do we cry? How is it that some are predisposed to cry little and others to weep endlessly? Why does it so often feel shameful? When does it relieve us, does it trap us in depression? Peaceful and powerful, The Crying Book is a poetic examination of the art of weeping. Poet Heather Christle meditates on tears, grief, in a graceful mourning song held together by personal experiences, scientific insight, and her most beloved—poetry. In the face of great loss, Christle’s account is crystalline and mystical, a necessary embrace for the bereaved, and validating manifesto to the tearful
