Library Closed
October 9th

The library will be closing Monday, October 9th, for staff development. If you need to return books, our drop box is always open. It can be found between the library and the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center next door. We will reopen on Tuesday, October 10th, with our normal operating hours.

Paranormal Fundraiser
October 21st & October 28th

Get into the spirit of Halloween with the Tifton- Tift County Public Library's newest fundraiser! In partnership with Cross the Line Paranormal, we are excited to share this special learning opportunity! A perfect evening event for those that love the paranormal and are interested in the scientific aspect of unexplained phenomena! Learn how to conduct an investigation, possibly experience some activity, and enjoy some seasonal fun. Tickets are $20/person for a 2-hour opportunity. Due to the nature of this event, we recommend ages 16+. If you have your own equipment and want to try it here, feel free to bring it! Event dates are Saturday October 21st, and Saturday October 28th, with various timeslots ranging from 6 p.m. to midnight! Tickets are available now at the library!

- All Day - Library Closed: Will reopen Tuesday.

Tuesday,

October 10th

- 4 p.m. - Steam Team: Come join our wonderful Ms. Grace for a fun 30 minute program for elementary kids that explores concepts in science, technology, engineering, art, and math through interactive experiments and games. Dress for a possible mess, and get ready for tons of fun!

- 5 p.m. - Teen Manga Club: All teens ages 12-18 are welcome to come read some manga, have some snacks, and nerd out with people that eat, sleep, manga, and repeat! Weebs, otakus, and casual readers welcome! This month, the manga club is reading "Orange" by Ichigo Takano.

- 5 p.m. - Clases de Computación en Español: Esta clase está diseñada para ayudar a nuestra comunidad hispana a adquirir valiosas habilidades informáticas. Registro es necesario.

This class is designed to help our Hispanic community gain valuable computer skills. Registration is required.

- 6 p.m. - Mom & Me Bookclub: A bookclub by moms, for moms! This bookclub is made for moms to have a comfortable place to discuss books, while caring for their little ones. This month's book is Murder at the Book Club by Betsy Reavley.

Wednesday,

October 11th

- 10:15 a.m. - Homeschool Hangout: Homeschool families! Join us for a homeschool hangout interest meeting at the library! We are super excited to create a program with you, for your needs. The library has both a youth and children's specialist and we are able to accommodate all grades, so please come and help us create something wonderful for you! Wednesday, October 11th in the large multipurpose room where Let's Play will be held. Bring your kiddos! We can't wait to meet you!

- 11 a.m. - Lets Play! Toddler Freeplay: In this program, kids ages 0–5 (and their caregivers, of course) can explore different sensory stations, hone fine and gross motor skills through interactive play, and make new friends in a fun environment. You can come and go as you please, but caregivers must stay with their little ones.

- 4 p.m. - Sew-cial Circle: The sewing fun continues as the long awaited return of our beloved sewing program has arrived! This time our very talented instructors, Ms. Robin and Ms. Vickie, will walk us through creating a Memory Bear out of fabric from our loved one's belongings. We provide sewing machines, but do make sure to register, as there are a limited number of machines.

- 5 p.m. - ABAC Bookclub: Calling all Stallions! The ABAC Library and the Tifton- Tift County Public Library have joined forces to bring you the ABAC Bookclub. This month's book is Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano. Meetings will be held at the ABAC Library. See you there!

Thursday,

October 12th

- 10 a.m. - Reading Rascals: This program is a weekly storytime for the littles that includes stories, songs and a mess free craft. Caregivers must accompany their littles. Hosted by our lovely Ms. Anna, make sure to stop by and have some fun!

- 5 p.m. - Clases De Ingles: Join us at the Tifton Library for free ESOL classes held every Thursday! Designed for Hispanic participants to learn English. All are welcome!

October 13th

- All Day - Family Pumpkin Decorating Day: Get ready! The Tifton- Tift County Public Library is holding a family Halloween pumpkin decorating event! Pop in and decorate one of our provided Styrofoam pumpkins. Prizes will go to the top 3 craftiest creations!

Saturday,

October 14th

- No Programs Today: Though we have no programs to offer today, we do have loads more. Don't forget to join us for some of our upcoming programs, like Bingo Night on October 17th, and Boozy Book Club on October 19th. Feel free to pick up a take-and-make craft for your little ones or check out some great movies and books from our collection! We also still have slots available for our Paranormal Investigation fundraiser! If you love the paranormal and are interested in the scientific aspect of unexplained phenomena, this program is for you. Stop by and register today to investigate this historic Tifton landmark.
