Due to construction nearby, access to the library’s book drop is currently unavailable. We recommend using the book drop at the Coastal Plain Regional Library System’s Headquarters Branch at 2014 Chesnutt Avenue for after-hours dropoff.
Don’t worry, the library building is open as usual!

A Night at Hogwarts
Hello, Muggles. Did your owl forget your invitation to Hogwarts? Consider this your digital invitation! Join us for an evening at Hogwarts on Tuesday, October 18th from 6–7 PM! Enter through Platform 9¾ and walk through the portrait hall. You will find Ollivanders open and ready for your little wizard to receive their wand! Perhaps they would prefer to visit with Professor Sprout and plant a seed? Or maybe they’d like to know their fortune from Professor Trelawney? Have they been studying their potions? There’s a pop quiz on spell ingredients in the children’s room where a wild game of Quidditch is happening overhead! Don’t tread too close to the teen room though, or Aragog may pull you into his nest! We look forward to visiting with your little wizard soon!
Boozy Bookclub
October’s destination Boozy Bookclub is upon us! The bookclub will meet on Tuesday, October 18th at 5 PM to discuss the book over drinks at Donatello’s, our amazing partner in this program. If you’re a fast reader, we still have copies of this month’s book (A Head Full of Ghosts by Paul Tremblay) at the front desk.
Registration is required, so please call the library at 229-386-7148 to get on the list today! Beverages are provided for the first 10 participants.
STEAM Team
Say goodbye to boring lectures and hello to a new way of learning! Join us as we explore concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through interactive experiments and games on October 5th and 21st at 4 PM.
For kids ages 6–11.
Scratch Coding Club
The Scratch Coding Club meets on Thursdays at 4 PM to do fun things with Scratch, the friendly game and animation programming environment. Kids and teens ages 10 and up can follow along with the group project or explore on their own with knowledgeable help at hand. Bring a flash drive if you have one!
Fizzy Book Club
This week we will be sharing our thoughts on our newest read: Artemis Fowl by Eoin Colfer.
Trick or Treat
Calling all our little ghouls and goblins! As part of the Downtown Tifton Trick or Treat event, the library will be giving out candy, goodies and books on Monday, October 31st from 5–7 PM! We will be located out front of our building. The first 200 families will get a Halloween activity book based on The Witches by Roald Dahl.
