Murder & Mimosas
We love true crime, and you love true crime, so let’s get together and obsess! Join us for Murder & Mimosas as we dive into solved, unsolved, and unexplained murder cases. We meet on the last Saturday of the month, starting on February 25th. The first meeting will be an introduction, and then the group will decide what cases will be discussed moving forward. You must be 21 or older to attend, and an ID will be required at check-in.

STEAM Team

Say goodbye to boring lectures and hello to a new way of learning! Join us as we explore concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through interactive experiments and games on Monday, February 27th at 5 PM.

For kids ages 6–11.

Knit A Bit
Whether you’ve been knitting for decades or days, join knitter extraordinaire, Kim Spencer, at the Tifton-Tift County Public Library and get your yarn on! Don’t know how to knit? That’s ok — we’ll be happy to teach you. Knit A Bit meets for the first time on Monday, February 27th at 5 PM.

Please note that youth knitters are welcome but must be at least 12 years old.

Nacho Normal Book Club

We don’t have boring book clubs at the library, as we have the Nacho Normal Book Club! The successor to the Boozy Book Club, the Nacho Normal Book Club will meet in the library board room on Tuesday, February 28th 5–6 PM to discuss Next Year in Havana by Chanel Cleeton and enjoy some delicious goodies from Taqueria Hermanos Chavez.

Everyone Deserves a Healthy Relationship
Join the professionals from Ruth’s Cottage and the Patticake House at the library on Tuesday, February 28th at 5 PM for the second part of their two-part presentation on healthy relationships. Topics covered will include what a healthy relationship is, what consent is, and what dangers lurk on social media.

Robotics
Kids 8 and older can get hands-on with robots in the library’s Robotics program! We’ll be building small robots from kits on Thursday, March 2nd at 5 PM.

Sewing Friends-y
Sewing Friends-y is a project based sewing group for all sewing enthusiasts, from people who have never stitched before to those with years of sewing experience. We meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month from 4:00–5:45 PM to work on projects, both individually and as a group, to learn, and to enjoy the company of other stitchers — the next meeting is Wednesday, March 1st. Sewing machines and supplies are available, but if you have your own portable machine, bring it! We have plenty of plugs and power!

Anime Club
The teen Anime Club will meet at 5 PM on Thursday, March 2nd to watch some anime!

Homeschool Enrichment Program
The library is coordinating with the Tifton Homeschool Association to provide an additional enrichment program. The first class will meet Friday, March 3rd at 10 AM. This month’s lesson introduces styles of bird shelters with a focus on cavity dwellers, such as bluebirds. Students and their parents are invited to participate in this recurring monthly event.

Envelopes of Love Fundraiser
The Tifton-Tift County Public Library is back from our January programming hiatus and kicking things off with a bang! We have a fantastic calendar full of new programming but we need a bit of help from our community to fund even bigger and better things! Therefore, for the whole month of February, we will be running an Envelopes of Love Fundraiser!

How does it work? Easy peasy! Envelopes representing different monetary amounts ($1-$50) will be displayed in the lobby of the library. Patrons can share some love for TTCPL and grab an envelope that fits their budget and bring it to the circulation desk. Donations can be made by cash, check, or debit/credit card, either publicly or anonymously. That’s it! Donors that chose a public donation will be included on our HUGE THANK YOU list at the end of the month. Proceeds will all go directly into our Programming fund.
