Holiday Closing Dates
The library will be closed from Friday, December 23rd through Tuesday, December 27th for the Christmas holiday and Friday, December 30th through Monday, January 2nd for New Year’s.

If you have items to return and can’t make it when we’re open, our book drop will be happy to receive your returns! You can also renew items using the PINES catalog and the PINES app.

Let’s Play
This is a drop-in program on Tuesday, December 20th from 10 AM to noon where kids ages 0–5 (and their caregivers, of course) can explore different sensory stations, hone fine and gross motor skills through interactive play, and make new friends in a fun environment. You can come and go as you please, but caregivers must stay with their little ones.

Boozy Bookclub

The Boozy Bookclub will be meeting at 5 PM on Tuesday, December 20th at Donatello’s. The book this month is Bridget Jones’s Diary by Helen Fielding. Attendees are encouraged to wear an ugly Christmas sweater. Registration is required (if you’re a speed reader, there’s still time to register and pick up the book!).

Ornament Making
Join us at 5 PM on Tuesday, December 20th as we make two different ornaments you can hang on your own tree or gift to someone else.

Sew You Think You Can Pants?
Want to be able to mend your own clothes? Would you like to experience the joy and pride of making new garments and items for your home? Is your old family sewing machine guilting you out for not using it? Then join the library’s semi-monthly sewing program! We meet at 5 PM on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. Our next meeting will be December 21st. Registering ahead of time is recommended, as a limited number of sewing machines will be available. Have your own machine? We have outlets! Join us!

Gift Wrapping
The holidays are approaching fast and the Winter Reading Challenge is in full swing! Bring your completed game boards on Thursday, December 22nd to pick your prizes from our prize room and let us help you wrap them! Gift wrapping goodies will be provided at this all-day wrapping event.

Winter Reading

Welcome to November and the launch of our brand new, free, Winter Reading Challenge! This chill-tastic board game challenge is designed for all ages, and is perfect for families to do together! As the holidays approach, spend your cool evenings reading and playing on your game board! As you complete your reading goals, you earn an entry into the prize room! The prize room is stocked with goodies! We encourage families to use the room to let their children “shop” for the holidays for their families, and we will help them wrap it up! Don’t celebrate? They can still use the items for their own prizes! They get treats, you get another tool to help your children/?spouse/?teen/?self/?family unit to READ! Slide on in and pick up your game board!

Sign up for the Winter Wonderland Reading Challenge online, but be sure to come by the building to pick up your game board and dice.
