Prize Patrol
There are so many wonderful reasons to love summer reading at the library, but we just thought of one more: Prize Patrol! This week’s winner is Wren Cantrell! This wonderful mini-patron is well on her way to building herself a strong foundation in literacy! Readers today, leaders tomorrow!
Will your child be next? Get those reading logs filled up and don’t forget to get them to the Children’s Dept by Tuesday afternoon to be eligible for Prize Patrol each week!
Gaming
Assorted gaming activities will be available all summer long Monday–Friday at 4 PM for ages 8–18. There will be board games, group console games, and retro computer games. Some days are special: Wednesdays are retro game day and Thursdays will offer game programming in Scratch.
Robot Building
Join us for a wonderful exploration into the construction of robots! This fun, creative and challenging program will step children through the creation of robots from the ground up! Participants will be working in groups, to design and build a robot. At the end of the program (on July 22nd) participants will put their robots to the test in an Olympic showdown!
Sensory Cinema Saturday
Our next Sensory Cinema Saturday (on July 9th will once again be heading under the ocean waves! This neurodivergent-friendly event is open to all abilities and noise-canceling headphones and low lighting for sensitive eyes will be available.
