Construction Nearby

Due to construction nearby, access to the library’s book drop is currently unavailable. We recommend using the book drop at the Coastal Plain Regional Library System’s Headquarters Branch at 2014 Chesnutt Avenue for after-hours dropoff.

Don’t worry, the library building is open as usual!

Cats on Mats

Who wants candy corn when you can have a kitten? Cats on Mats (the last session for this year) will be held on Friday, October 28th at 7:30 PM! You bring the haunted home, we bring the fuzzy ghoul! Don’t miss it!

STEAM Team, Jr.

Little minds make big learners! Join us as we explore concepts in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math through hands-on activities on Wednesday, October 26th at 4 PM. Things might get messy, so dress appropriately.

Scratch Coding Club

The Scratch Coding Club meets on Thursdays at 4 PM to do fun things with Scratch, the friendly game and animation programming environment. Kids and teens ages 10 and up can follow along with the group project or explore on their own with knowledgeable help at hand. Bring a flash drive if you have one!

Trick or Treat

Calling all our little ghouls and goblins! As part of the Downtown Tifton Trick or Treat event, the library will be giving out candy, goodies and books on Monday, October 31st from 5–7 PM! We will be located out front of our building. The first 200 families will get a Halloween activity book based on The Witches by Roald Dahl.

Bookclub Pick for November

The destination Boozy Bookclub has a perfect book lined up for next month! In the spirit of meeting at Donatello’s, the next read is nonfiction and set in Jazz Age Chicago: The Girls of Murder City by Douglas Perry. It’s about the real life murders that inspired the musical (and later movie) “Chicago!” Stay tuned for when the copies start arriving at the circulation desk.

Beginner Computer Class – Fridays 10–11 AM in the boardroom. Get answers to your questions about technology.

Lego Club
Who doesn’t love Legos? Kids age 3 and up can express that love at our weekly Lego Club, which meets Mondays at 4 PM. You can hone your skills, work to the weekly theme, or just have fun!

We have the Legos, you bring the creativity!

Anime/Manga Club
The teen Anime Club will be meeting at 5:30 PM on Thursday, October 27th to watch Mob Psycho and craft some door hangers.

Robotics
Join us on Friday, October 28th at 4 PM for a fun-for-all hour with lots of cool robots to meet and play with. This will be the send-off for our robotics program this year, but don’t worry - we’ll be back!
