Library Closed

November 10th - November 11th

This week, the library will be closing on both November 10th, and November 11th in honor of Veterans day. The holiday falls on Saturday, November 11th, but we will be closed Friday November 10th as well in observance. If you need to return books, our drop box is always open. It can be found between the library and the Syd Blackmarr Arts Center next door. We will reopen on Monday, November 13th.

Budget Bites

Looking for some fun, easy, budget friendly recipes to add to your weekly repertoire? The library has you covered. Join us at Conger Kitchen for a fun night as our resident foodie, Will McCranie, teaches you how to make his famous Garlic Parm Chicken Pasta. This program will take place on November 13th at 5 p.m., so make sure to register by calling us at 229-386-7148 or by stopping by and visiting the circulation desk!

Bingo Night

Get ready to shout BINGO! The Tifton- Tift County Public Library brings you our Fall Bingo Night! Hosted by our wonderful Ms. Lesley, bring your friends for a chance to win great prizes and have tons of fun. See you there!

Weekly Calendar of Events

Monday, November 6th

 - 11 a.m. - Storytime With Ms. Grace: This program is a weekly storytime for the littles that includes stories, songs, and a mess free craft. Caregivers must accompany their littles. Hosted by our lovely Ms. Grace, make sure to stop by and have some fun!

 - 4 p.m. - The Whodunits: Introducing our newest program for kids ages 8 - 11! Welcome to the Whodunits! Just who are the Whodunits? Why that’s all of you! In this exciting children’s book club, kids can explore mysteries with games, themed activities, and fun!

 - 5 p.m. - Clases De Ingles: Join us at the Tifton Library for free ESOL classes held every Monday and Thursday! This program is designed for Hispanic participants to learn English. All are welcome!

 - 5 p.m. - Intro to Teen Art: Curious about getting started on your art journey, but you have no idea where to start? This is the program for you! This program introduces you to different art styles and art media. This month we will be diving into learning the basics of Manga art.

Tuesday, November 7th

 - 10 a.m. - Beginning Computer Class at Leroy Rogers: This program provides a good space for adults to ask any technology related questions. Feel free to stop by the Leroy Rogers Senior Center with any questions regarding computers, smartphones, and social media. No registration necessary.

 - 5 p.m. - Spanish Computer Class / Clases de Computación en Español: Esta clase está diseñada para ayudar a nuestra comunidad hispana a adquirir valiosas habilidades informáticas. Registro es necesario.

 - This class is designed to help our Hispanic community gain valuable computer skills. Registration is required.

 - 5 p.m. - Adult Crafting: For this Adult Crafting Night, we will be making autumn wreaths out of felt leaves and twine. This program is free and open to all adults, so feel free to bring a friend. Just make sure to register as spots fill up fast! You can register by giving us a call at 229-386-7148, or by visiting us at the circulation desk.

 - 5 p.m. - Death Cafe: Visit the Death Café to eat cake, drink tea, and discuss death (facilitated by an End-of-Life Doula, Civil/Humanist celebrant).

Wednesday, November 8th

 - 4 p.m. - Library Sew-cial Circle: The sewing fun resumes with our beloved sewing program. Join our very talented instructors, Ms. Robin and Ms. Vickie, as they continue walking us through creating a Memory Bear out of fabric from our loved one's belongings. Registration is full, so keep a look out for similar programs coming soon.

 - 5 p.m. - ABAC Bookclub: Calling all Stallions! The ABAC Library and the Tifton- Tift County Public Library have joined forces to bring you the ABAC Bookclub. This month's book is Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano. This is the last meeting of the year. Hope to see you there!

Thursday, November 9th

 - 5 p.m. - Clases De Ingles: Join us at the Tifton Library for free ESOL classes held every Monday and Thursday! This program is designed for Hispanic participants to learn English. All are welcome!

 - 5 p.m. - Spanish Storytime / Hora De Cuentos en Espanol: Hora De Cuentos en Español: ¡Ven a visitarnos para nuestra hora de cuentos en español! ¡Los niños de 0 a 5 años y sus cuidadores disfrutarán de historias, canciones y más con nuevos amigos!

 - Spanish Story Time: Come visit us for our Spanish Story Time! Children ages 0-5 and their caregivers will enjoy stories, songs, and more with new friends!

 - 5 p.m. - Manga Club: All teens ages 12-18 are welcome to come read some manga, have some snacks, and nerd out with people that eat, sleep, manga, and repeat! Weebs, otakus, and casual readers welcome! This month, the manga club is reading Mob Psycho 100 by ONE.
