Early Literacy Explorers

 

Saturday, June 24 @ 10:00am

 

Young children love to explore with their hands. We will have a variety of stations with hands-on activities for children to explore the six early literacy skills. Drop in and visit each station to gain the foundational skills for reading. Ages 2-5.

NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Grab & Go Craft Kits

(Available starting Monday, June 26th)

 

Pick up a new craft every week for your kids to make

at home or on the go. Supplies & instructions will be available for pick up from the library. Dive into this year’s Summer Reading theme, “All Together Now” & make your craft

“together” with family & friends or enjoy making it on your own. Recommended for ages 4-10.

Upcycled T-Shirt Bags

(Ages 11-Adult)

Bring a favorite old t-shirt to upcycle or choose one of ours to make a washable, eco-friendly bag.

This interactive, family storytime is for ages 3-5, and their parents or caregivers. The fun includes ocean-themed songs, fingerplays, activities, stories, movement, crafts, and more.

Be Healthy, Be Active Preschool Storytime

This hands-on "healthy living" storytime for children ages Pre-K to age 5 is provided by Tracey Saxton from UGA Extension. We will explore food & movement through the use of music, books, hands-on activities & more.

Friendship Bracelets Take & Make Kits
