Cherokee Valley Ranch

909 upper salem Church Road

Our ranch offers a zip-line course consisting of 3 separate legs. You can choose to do just one, or go all-out, flying over fields of surprisingly unconcerned horses! Professional-grade harnesses and helmets are provided for all zip-liners (Must weigh between 75 and 245 pounds.)

After all their breathtaking flights, including GERONIMO a full ¼ mile extreme run, guests are ferried back to the starting point by owner Mark Troendle in what he affectionately calls “The Beast.” The Beast is a green, camouflaged truck with benches built in the bed with an open cab. Troendle jokes with guests about the deliberately wild return ride. “Everyone survives the zip line,” he said. “Most people survive the Beast!

It was just okay. Nothing spectacular but the view. My first time ziplining so I had nothing to compare too. We did enjoy ziplining there. It appears to be a new business and that they can add on more ziplines and a lift for the tobogganing at a later date. I was really excited about toboggoning until i pulled the tube to the top once. I trip down and up and we were done. We are not youngsters. We wish the owners and all their guests the best. We purchased through Groupon so we did not have much money invested. I suggest you always look for discounts on Groupon before you do anything.

Don't buy the Groupon. It really only includes one zip - a few seconds worth. It claims to include the option for Geronimo run, but you have to pay an additional $30 per person for this. The entire course is maybe 15 minutes worth and only 3 zips.
