Town Center Park

Come take a stroll or a jog, bring a friend or your dog, fly a kite or ride your bike at Suwanee's Town Center Park. Suwanee's "front yard," the 10-acre Town Center Park, located at the intersection of Buford Highway and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road, is the community's primary gathering space for special events.

Town Center Park features one mile of strolling and rolling surfaces with three interlinking elliptical pathways and sidewalks; more than 200 maple, gum, sycamore, and oak trees; four garden areas; park benches and traditional light poles; and a terraced amphitheater seating area with capacity for 1,000. Its amphitheater stage provides a backdrop for concerts and other performances that draw audiences from around the region.

Big Splash interactive fountain

The Big Splash fountain at Town Center Park is generally open from 9 a.m.-10 p.m. seven days a week, weather permitting. Water quality is checked regularly throughout the day.

Suwanee's Big Splash fountain has 43 jets and uses up to 1,400 gallons of water per minute. The water is recycled.

While the City encourages splashing, delighted squeals, and fun in the fountain, several rules are necessary to ensure the safety of splashers as well as the integrity of the fountain system.

Occasionally the fountain will need to be closed for maintenance. When possible, notice will be posted to the City of Suwanee website.

Suwanee Creek Greenway

It's time to run...walk...pedal...stroll...and roll! The Suwanee Creek Greenway is a hard-surface, multipurpose trail that meanders through four miles of wooded areas, wetlands, and wildlife habitat. The original trail was constructed in the early 1990s; a three-mile extension was opened in May 2004. The greenway connects nearly 400 acres of parkland as well as residential and commercial areas.

Relax, enjoy nature at Suwanee Creek Park

Located at 1170 Buford Highway, near the City's southern limit, Suwanee Creek Park, is a passive recreation area ideal for family picnics and reunions; it's also the trailhead for the Suwanee Creek Greenway. The 85-acre Suwanee Creek Park, which has been left substantially in its natural condition, serves as the primary parking area and access point for the greenway. About 100 parking spaces are available at Suwanee Creek Park, which also features additional hard- and soft-surface trails, two pavilions, picnic tables, grills, public restrooms, and open meadow areas. The park is open from sunrise to sunset

PlayTown Suwanee

Many area children have dubbed Suwanee's new super playground structure "the playground that my mommy and daddy built." That's because more than 1,200 volunteers cumulatively worked nearly 10,000 hours over five days last summer to turn two tractor trailer loads of materials and equipment into one wonderful playground for the children of Suwanee.

Located at 425 Main Street in historic Old Town, PlayTown Suwanee features a magical bus, castle, log cabin, boat, elephant, rocket, climbing wall, bridges, slides, and swing sets. The playground is open from sunup to sundown.

City Hall Park

Located next to City Hall on Buford Highway, this park offers play equipment, a picnic area under a covered gazebo, and the thrill of an occasional train sighting

George Pierce Park

Comprising more than 300 acres and less than a mile north of Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road on Buford Highway, this Gwinnett County park offers recreational facilities, baseball, football, and soccer fields, a pond stocked for fishing, picnic areas, and nature trails. For more information, contact Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation at 770/822-8840.

Main Street Park and Burnette-Rogers Pavilion

Main Street Park is located in the heart of Old Town Suwanee. It features a basketball court, in-line skating elements, the City of Suwanee Red Caboose, and the Burnette-Rogers open air pavilion, as well as passive open space that is great for picnics.
