This isn’t your ordinary “party painting” studio. This Friday starting at 7 p.m., they’re hosting an epic Harry Potter-themed paint and trivia night, and Potterheads won’t want to miss it! This unique painting event is nothing short of competitive, infused with trivia and lots of artwork. But everyone is a winner here—you’ll get to walk away with the painting you create—and quite possibly another prize. The cost is $35 per person and you’ll need to register in advance.

Athens’ favorite farmer’s market is closed for the season, but this winter farmer’s market at Jittery Joe’s is your chance to support local vendors during the slow season. Everything from edibles to candles to jewelry to cards to dog treats and more will be available to browse and purchase. This is a recurring Saturday event from now until March, so if you don’t make it to this one you’ll have plenty of other chances to support your local growers, makers, and doers.
Sandy Creek Nature Center is hosting one of the most unique events that’s ever occurred in the birding world. Look up into a star-filled sky and discover the constellations that resemble our feathery friends. Learn their stories and little about what makes them special. This event is taking place Saturday, Jan. 19 from 10 to 11 a.m., and is free to attend.
