This party starts at 11 p.m. on Saturday, but plan to get there early to enjoy their live jazz band from 7-10 p.m.

Athens newest comedy club is breaking through the gates with an epic variety show at the Morton Theater on Saturday, January 5. The Moonlight Theatre Company is a non-profit organization to provide local opportunities for actors, techies, designers, and production hands. Their debut variety show will feature talents from major cities around the southeast and local Athens performers. Tickets are $18 and proceeds will go to benefit the Athens Area Homeless Shelter.
Rock and roll band Stardogs are stealing the stage at Terrapin Beer Company, combining the best in local brews and music under one roof. This event is free and puts you within arm’s reach of all of the amazing, crafty flavors of beer that has made Terrapin famous. While you’re there, you can take a brewery tour and see where the magic unfolds, and maybe get a few tastings along the way. The party starts Saturday, January 5, at 5 p.m.

The award-winning Gym Dawgs kick off their first meet of the year against Ohio State at the Stageman Coliseum. The event starts at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 5. UGA’s gymnastics team has several titles to their name and offer one of the best sports shows in town. This is first of many home meets of the season, so keep an eye on their schedule for more opportunities to see them in action.

Led by locally-based Sit Happens Dog Training & Behavior, you and your pup will explore the basics in bite prevention, socialization, and other key behaviors to discipline and nurture your four-legged friends. The class is $100-$110 and consists of four one-hour sessions.
